The BWF Protec Division in Hof, recognised the advantages of three-dimensional, mechanically stabilized needle felts for industrial applications.

In addition to natural fibres such as wool and cellular wool, BWF processes all the standard synthetic fibres namely Nomex®, Kevlar®, Twaron®, Kermel®, Basofil®, Sigrafil®.
We also process other well-known fibres for special heat protection applications, to include synthetic fibres such as polyester, polyamides and polypropylene for transport, covering and sealing materials.

Not only can single-material needle felts be produced, but also mixtures of various fibre types.
