BWF Profiles will exhibit at the light + building Fair in Frankfurt from April 6 until April 11, 2008.

A New Look for the Swiss Raiffeisenbank…taylor-made by BWF Profiles

The Swiss Raiffeisenbank has modernized its corporate design. The new Logo shines brightly red from the top of all 1.425 branches. An essential part of the illuminated letters are edge profiles made by BWF Profiles. These are extruded from impact resistant acrylic in red, white and silver.

BWF Profiles is watching you - creative lighting design for the stage of Bregenz Festival

Visitors of this year’s Tosca production of Bregenz Festival are sitting „eye to eye“ with profiles made by BWF Profiles in Offingen:
Core part of the stage design is the so called „eye wall“. With a width of 50 m and a height of 25 m it has the size of a fourth of a soccer field. The flexible iris has a diametre of 12 m and can be fully pulled out. It consists of 74 flat screens each at the size of 1 x 2 m and equipped with LEDs.
The LEDs are embedded - and thus protected - in profiles made by BWF. 3.700 m of profiles have been fixed to the wall in total. The LEDs allow numerous colour variations of the iris - an impressive stage spectacle in the night sky of Bregenz.
Further fields of application for big size screens with profiles made by BWF are Public Viewing walls as used during the footbal world championship 2006, open air concert stages as well as advertising walls and information panels.

Illuminated advertising for the corporate design of companies is the perfect application area for brilliant transparent coloured profiles from BWF. By pigmenting profiles in the CI colours, a company's visual communication can be perfectly realized.
Example: SHELL
The „Red Bars“ manufactured by BWF are used worldwide as roof edge lighting. The above picture shows a SHELL petrol station in Malaysia. The Red Bar has a height of 180 mm and is made from impact resistant Acrylic. It is produced at our headquarter in Offingen for the European and African Market. The Asian Market is supplied by our plant in Wuxi (China). The CI colours of SHELL must be perfectly matched both at daylight and when illuminated at night. The transmission is exactly defined while the LED’s have to be invisible. This has been achieved by developing a special red colour which matches the wave length of the LED’s and will stay colour-fast for many years. The own colour formula of BWF allows a flexible and fast execution of such CI projects.
UV Plus - The ideal solution for outdoor applications
Plastic profiles in outdoor applications have to withstand a great number of outside influences. Impact strength and UV resistance are essential material criteria. This is why Polycarbonate is often preferred.
The only disadvantage is, that Polycarbonate yellows in outdoor weathering after some time.
The ideal solution: UV Plus
The UV-layer, developed by BWF Profiles, is extruded in a thin outside coat onto the PC profile. It creates high UV resistance as well as excellent impact strength.
BWF Profiles - ABS / TPU scanner profiles with double function
Because of a flexible TPU joint, the hinged ABS scanner profiles from BWF Profiles function in two ways: All relevant customer information can be displayed on the front side. At the same time - not immediately apparent due to the hinge function – additional product and price information, which is necessary only to the retailer, is displayed on the back side.

proLED - The special colour for your LED application
proLED is a colouration system developed by BWF Profiles for modern, energy saving LED concepts. The transmission of proLED is optimally aligned to the wave length spectrum of the common LED colours. It provides excellent light transmission as well as optimum light dispersion without any visible LED hot spots.
