BWF Wuxi Feltec presented its completely redesigned booth on the INTERTEXTILE Peking from March 23 to March 29, 2008.

For the first time, the INTERTEXTILE Peking fair has taken place at the China International Exhibition Centre Beijing. Due to the growth of 20 % compared to last year, the old exhibition centre did no longer offer enough space for this fair. The figures (1.100 exhibitors from 11 countries and more than 25.000 visitors) prove that the INTERTEXTILE Peking has reached halfe the size of the INTERTEXTILE Shanghai and is, thus, one of the most important fairs for fabrics and textile accessories.

BWF Wuxi Feltec was once again exhibitor on the INTERTEXTILE Fair. After the spring fair had taken place in Peking earlier this year, the branch members now met in Shanghai from October 26 to 29, 2005.

The INTERTEXTILE Shanghai was presented in the Shanghai New Exhibition Center on an area of app. 63.000 sqm.

1530 exhibitors from 25 different countries presented themselves there: 963 Chinese exhibitors and 567 from abroad, amongst them companies from Germany, Italy, France, Korea, Taiwan, Portugal, Turkey and Pakistan.

As the only exhibitor for undercollar material, BWF Wuxi Feltec presented its wide and specified product range, and thus, was able to emphasize its market leadership.

BWF Wuxi Feltec will continue to expand its exhibition activities in China and - if possible - in other Asian regions.
A lot of visitors took the opportunity and investigated the possibilities to purchase their trimmings directly in Asia.

The run on the Chinese Markets is continuing, and the conversations reflect the interest in serious business relations after the enthusiasm of the beginning.

The subject of the student project "Felt-Correspondences" carried out by the Faculty for Design and Medias of the University of Applied Science in Hanover was to find new ways and possibilities to interpret and create felt materials. The project was led by Mrs. Prof. Carola Stockmann and Mrs. Dipl. Des. Heike Peuker and its main focus was to incorporate felt into the High Fashion.

In order to get a better idea of FELT, 15 students of the University of Applied Science visited the production site of BWF Textil GmbH & Co. KG / Woolfelt Division where they were able to get an insight view of the felt production. After the production tour every student found some suitable BWF-felt in the FELT SHOP for their personal fashion creations.

During a fashion show in Celle, the students finally presented the results of this project. Their creations underlined impressively that it is possible to incorporate felt into the High Fashion area without any problems. Consequently, the teachers as well as the students feel that they have reached the goal of their project appropriately. This will be shown with some samples by a selection of models.

It was our pleasure to support this project with some items of our wide product range.

32.000 visitors, 600 exhibitors (15% men´s wear) on 50.000qm have represented the largest Asia fair for Garment and Fashion in Beijing. The first presence of BWF Wuxi /Garment Felt Division on CHIC 2002 has shown a high acceptance of BWF felt products.

BWF Wuxi Garment Felt Division has presented the whole product-range of undercollar materials: Such for further processing and ready made undercollar material, made in Germany and made in China.
