Our experience over many years and quality assurance systems according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 form the basis of a constant, high level in the quality of our products and services. We recommend to consider the following general application and technical notes in order to guarantee an optimal function of the filter media.

Dust Collector

  • Prevention of corrosion in the dust collector or cleaning system

  • As homogeneous as possible gas distribution within the dust collector in order to reach a regular impact on the filter media

  • Preheating of the dust collector before start-up as well as heating of the dust collector above dew point temperature during a plant shut-down to avoid condensation

  • Operating temperature 25K above acid and water dew point depending on the temperature resistance of the filter media and the operating temperature

  • Continuous operation of the plant with as few as possible shut-downs

  • Continuous, efficient neutralisation of harmful exhaust gas contents

  • Prevention of damp, oily or acidic aerosols in the dust collector

  • No exothermic reactions, fire or excess temperature

  • Trouble-free operation and optimised setting of the cleaning system, i.e. with cleaning pressure and frequency as low as possible in order to avoid unnecessary emission peaks and over-cleaning

  • Application of proper supporting cages

  • Faultless operation of equipment connected to the filter plant (incomplete incineration, fall-out from the spray tower, leakage ...)

Gas and Dust Composition

  • Concentration of exhaust gases (i.e. bromide, H2O, O2, NO2, acid components) depending on the fibre polymer and the operating temperature

  • In case of  incineration processes as little as possible unburned organic hydro-carbons in the dust

Filter Medium

  • Consideration of the restrictive properties of the fibre polymers with chemical and thermal reactions

  • Proper handling of the filter media prior and during assembly as well as during inspection or maintenance of the filter systems

  • No contact with neighbouring filter media, internal parts or walls

  • In case of sparks, application of a spark resistant filter medium

  • No mixing of filter media made by another manufacturer together with BWF Envirotec filter media

  • Washing the filter media after agreement with BWF Envirotec

Ideal Cleaning

  • Cleaning the rows of bags in an alternating sequence

  • Using compressed air with water content < 4 g/Nm³ and oil content < 3 mg/Nm³

  • Differential pressure over the filter medium < 18,0 hPa
